Pootlers’ Blog Hop

Hopefully, if I can get my head around the instructions, I’m taking part in my first ever Blog Hop! The theme is Sale-a-Bration so I’ve done something using the Butterfly Gala Stamp Set and Punch Bundle and the FREE Botanical Butterfly DSP.

The first set of cards just use the stamp set and ink pads. You could make these even if you only had one ink stamp. The two butterflies are on a single stamp, whilst the sentiment is separate. I placed them on one stamping block, inked them up and stamped. The slightly fiddlier bit is adding the bodies and antennae but, as they are photopolymer stamps, it’s not too hard. My only mistake was to use black. I only did it on the Calypso Coral one and realised it would be much better to stick with the same colours. I used Balmy Blue, Calypso Coral, Highland Heather, and Mint Macaron.

The second lot of cards are made from two of the sheets of Botanical Butterfly DSP. I spent about an hour meticulously cutting and punching the butterflies from one each of the top two sheets of DSP. I wanted to get every butterfly possible! I used 9 each of the small ones on an A6 card blank and then 3 small and 2 large as shown below. I’m still not quite sure if I’m going to leave them as they are or add a sentiment at the bottom.

I bent all the butterflies so that their wings aren’t just flat on the card and just used a tiny glue dot to hold them on.
I really want the Gingham Gala DSP but can’t afford that until the end of the month. With that order, I’ll get my FREE organdy ribbon too. Looking forward to making lots more butterfly themed cards.

I hope you like my Sale-a-Bration makes. Thanks for looking. Dw i’n gobeithio chi’n licio fy nghardiau Sale-a-Bration. Diolch am gwylio.

    1. Thanks Karen. I couldn’t see that it was working when I tried earlier and my name seemed to have dropped off the listing.
