Stampin’ Up!®Friendly Seagulls Sale-a-Bration freebies.

This week’s video showcases the Friendly Segulls stamp set. Living by the sea, I knew I had to have this set as soon as I saw it. Living by the sea was exceptionally useful last weekend when we were without water for 48 hours; I nipped down to the beach to fill up some buckets so we could flush the loos. I wasn’t alone. We had a friend’s son visiting us from England and he brought lots of bottled water with him, thankfully. The supermarkets were all completely devoid of bottled water. I managed to get a couple of litres of small bottles, but I went to 5 different stores. We finally got free bottled water from Dwr Cymru on the 2nd evening. I must get a couple of water butts fitted in case this ever happens again.

The other two cards in the picture are from the Wildflower Birthday suite.

Work has finally started on turning the loft into a model railway room. We’ve had the second loft hatch installed in Kevin’s office. We’ll be keeping the other loft hatch as it’s slightly larger and useful if we need to get big stuff up there. Kevin’s had to de-camp from his office to the second spare bedroom, which was his office when we first moved here. He’s helping the builder when required.

We met up with a friend in Bangor last week – it was his birthday. This is the card I made him:

I should really be knuckling down learning Verdi’s Requiem for our choir’s 20th anniversary concert in April. After that we would normally finish until September, but we’ve been invited to perform at the North Wales International Music Festival in September. I think we’ll be doing some Rutter. Hwyl am y tro!
