Stampin’ Up! Thanking You stamp + October treats

S’mae, pawb! This week I’m just using one stamp, but a couple of different ways. I’ve decided to get back into doing some heat embossing again. Haven’t done it for years, although I do have some embossing powders in a lovely tin, and my heat gun. I had to go and buy a VersaMark ink pad. That was a saga in itself; they didn’t have any at the local craft shop but were expecting some the following week. As it was, it was 2 weeks before I could actually pop in to get it. Also, my ‘Seafoam White’ isn’t as white as I would have liked, but I haven’t been able to find any locally. I also don’t want to buy the SU powder as it comes in a set of 3 – white, black, and clear. I already have black & clear. I wish they sold it separately.

The first pic is the cards I made just using SU ink pads on DSP, the 2nd is using my Seafoam White embossing powder.

I really need to get some brilliant white embossing powder, but it’s proving difficult to get hold of locally. I may have to resort to the internet (quelle horreur!). The following pic is using the lilac embossing powder on DSP – interesting outcome as it hadn’t occurred to me that the colour would change with the background.

As you can see, I decided to go with the small corner rounder, just to soften the lines. I didn’t manage to catch the shininess (is that a word?) of the embossing in this pic; never mind.Hwyl am y tro!
