S.mae, pawb! I’ve been able to manage a little bit of crafting in the last couple of days. I’m no longer sporting the comedy bandage and am down to a regular plaster on my little finger. Typing is still awkward, though.
My friend, Wendy, aka The Snowdon Stamper, had been using the 6×6 Thoughtful Journey papers from SU to make 6×4 cards and had several 2″ strips left over, so she made some bookmarks. (You can find her here on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/snowdonstamper). I thought this was a great idea so took one sheet of each design, cut them all into 2″ strips and stamped various sentiments on them. I then cut matching 2″ strips of cardstock, but made them 6¾” long so I could use a tag topper punch to put some ribbon through. I used a scrap piece of card to work out how much extra I needed. I just took a piece of card 4″ long, punched the top and measured the length again to see how much was left to work out the final length. I decided to go with Boho Blue as the cardstock colour, mainly because the only ribbon I had that was suitable was in Boho Blue. I realise I am lacking ribbon in my stash. I’ve just put in an SU order (without ribbon), so will have to wait a while to order more ribbon. here’s the end result:
I used the God is Good sentiment from the Easter Lilies stamp set, and the four sentiments from the Courage & Faith set. The rest were all from the Unbounded Love set. I made 36 altogether, 4 of each sentiment. I’ve just ordered some nice cello bags to put them in, then I’ll give them to my friend for her charity table at church.
I’ve managed to do a quick video showing them off with the papers, stamp sets, and punch that I used. I think that’s me for this week. Hwyl am y tro!
