I’m a bit late today. What was supposed to be a ‘quick trip’ to Kevin’s office took all morning. Still, I managed to buy some lamp oil for my oil lamps whilst we were out so it wasn’t a complete waste of time!

Just before we left I had some post: I’d won a couple of prizes in a my upline’s craft challenge and they came this morning. Wendy set a Bingo challenge and I won a line across and a line down!

My prizes

I don’t seem to have done much this week, although I have been doing a bit of sewing. My veg man, Chris, had seen my sewing machine through the dining room window and asked if I could do some alterations for him. He’s not a tall man and his overalls were too long so I took them up for him. He also had a long-sleeved T-shirt that he wanted making into a short-sleeved T-shirt. He gave me a slightly larger veg box today and said “no charge”, which was nice. My friend, Caroline, had visions of Chris standing in my kitchen in his undies whilst I did the sewing!!

The main reason for us going to Kevin’s office was to get one of his old office chairs to replace the one he’s had in his office at home. One of the castors kept coming off and when it fell over on it’s own without him even sitting in it last night, he decided that enough was enough. His boss had recently bought all new furniture to go in the new office they were buying. Unfortunately, the sale on the current office fell through so they couldn’t proceed with the purchase. They’ve now got lovely new furniture but had to swap rooms around to get the larger desks in. The company owns the 3-storey semi-detached ‘house’ and lets out other rooms to other companies.

I think that’s me for this week. Hwyl fawr!

  4. Hi Camilla. Trust your anniversary was a great day – and all the treats were a success! A prize… ooo… exciting. I like the stamp set – bought it from you last year, and love the effect I can get. Enjoy. Glad K now has a chair which, hopefully, won’t collapse under him! I, too, liked the image of the veg man in his undies in your kitchen..
Take care. Stay safe. God bless.

  5. Hi Camilla, I suspect many firms are going to have a lot of people working from home in future, and a lot of them will be downsizing the offices they have at the moment. One thing that the lockdown has done is show it’s perfectly possible for almost all office based staff to work from home, and I’m sure many buisnesses will see they can make some huge savings through this. Great prizes you won, I’m sure you’ll have a great time using them. Have a lovely week, Stay safe, Hugs, Shaz #13 X

  6. I loved your story about the veg man – it could have been the start of a romance novel! I too can imagine him standing there in his undercrackers while you sewed his trousers! Have a great week, Lisa-Jane #23
