I’m really struggling to know which day is which. Not a lot on my desk at the moment. I’ve been doing some die cutting using up retired SU DSP.

Using retired SU DSP.

The sweetie jars are from How Sweet It Is DSP which goes with the Sweetest Thing stamps and dies. I used Wink of Stella on the jars to make them look a bit like glass. The other bits are from Petal Promenade. Don’t know exactly what I’m going to do with them yet. And no, I still haven’t done anything with the stash that arrived the other week!

This morning I received something in the post from Wendy, my SU upline:

Card kit.

It’s a small card kit to make a card with. I will actually have to do some colouring!

We’ve had no hot water or heating for a couple of days but that’s been fixed this morning, so I’ve got the heating on now to warm the house up again. The house is quite good at holding the heat since we got double glazing last year, but it also holds the cold in too. When we came back from shopping yesterday I left the front door open for a bit to let some warm air in!

Well, I should be getting on with making and uploading my video for Gareth Malone’s Great British Home Chorus. Hwyl fawr!

  6. Hi Camilla those die cuts are so pretty like little pieces of ephemera they will make lovely toppers for cards. Glad the water & heating problems have been resolved not something you need with everything else to worry about. Take care & stay warm Tracey #25

  7. Love the bits and pieces on your desk Camilla. The sweetie jars are cute. Glad you have heating and hot water again. Not the time to be without! Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #4

  8. What absolutely gorgeous and pretty stash on your desk, Camilla! It looks as if you’ve got plenty to keep you busy. I’m sorry to hear that you had heating problems – it’s still pretty cold and I would miss our heating! Thank you for your visit. Yes, I think I had better give the answers to the Bird Quiz next week! People have done pretty well though. The great thing about recipes is that they can, and should be adapted! If you want to try it with white rice, go right ahead! It’s all a matter of taste. We eat only wholegrains now but if you can’t get on with them, use what you like. The sweet potato salad is certainly worth making!

Stay safe and well, and keep smiling!
    Happy belated WOYWW,

  9. Hi Camilla. Sorry I’m late getting round all the desks this week, being popping round to deskers in between homeworking. It’s better than a tea break!
Your die cutting looks so pretty laid out like that. Doesn’t paper make you happy?
Glad you got your heating fixed, that could be tricky at the moment so it’s good that you’ll all sorted.
    Enjoy Garath!
Have a good week and Take Care

  10. Sorry I’m late! Glad you’ve got the luxury of heating again; it is remarkable how quickly the house gets cold to the point of discomfort, it really can be miserable. Love all the cuttings that you’ve made. My advice would be to come up with some makes to use them on/in…or they’ll just sit in a pile of UFOs for a ridiculous amount of time. Ask me how I know! The card kit is a lovely thing to send, and as it is, would represent a challenge for me – do show us what you do with it!
