Hybrid Embossing folder and die set

S’mae, pawb, my video this week is focusing on the Thoughtful Moments Hybrid Embossing Folder and Die set. I finished making the other cards after the video and this is all of them:

I also made some more of the CAS (clean & simple) cards using the new online exclusive, Sweetly Scripted stamp set that I showcased in my previous video. I just added a little bling to the dots on the i’s:

I also had a go at making this gift bag after watching a video by Sara Douglass, the SU CEO, using 12″x12″ DSP. The bag ends up as 8″x8″x2″. I used some DSP that I’m not particularly keen on.

I punched holes for the ribbon and tied the knots inside. If you want to see her video, it’s on Facebook: Sara Douglass, Stampin’ Up! CEO .

I’ve been reading a book called, Treasured Valley, by local author, Eleri Thomas. It’s set locally around Dwygyfylchi (yes, that is a real Welsh name) and Capelulo where she grew up. We met at a book/craft fair a couple of years ago, then again a couple of times last year. Last month I spotted her at the Conwy Seed Fair where she was selling her second book, Relative Justice, so I had to buy it. I got her to sign it for me. Treasured Valley is about a man who leaves the London rat race to live in a Welsh cottage that had belonged to some of his forebears and how he traces his ancestry. If you’re interested, you can get it on Amazon (or in a few local bookshops – local to me, that is!) I’ve just lent it to my friend, Caroline, whilst I read a book she’s lent me; (Richard Coles’ A Death in the Parish).

I shall have to leave it there for this week. Catch up again next week, hopefully. Hwyl am y tro!
