I’ve made a few cards like the one in the picture and have used various sentiments: birthday, get well, thank you, congratulations (in Welsh & English). I have used the flower stamp from the Thoughtful Blooms set from Stampin’ Up! This is one of the items that you can earn for free in the Sale-a-Bration brochure. I used the co-ordinating punch, which is also in the Sale-a-Bration brochure. I did get a bit carried away, though, and punched out loads of flowers before realising I should have stamped first, then punched! (I know, I know….)
When I was deciding which sentiments to use I was able to do it fairly quickly. I have a lot of stamp sets now and I can’t always remember which set has which sentiment. I used to have to go through each one until I found what I wanted. A while ago I came up with a cunning plan. (I’m sure you probably all know this already.) I have a sheet of card onto which I have stamped various sentiments and then written the name of the stamp set next to it. Then it’s easy for me to find what I want. (I am an ex-Librarian so I keep all my stamp sets in alphabetical order; I assume everyone does this?)
Now I just have to look at the style of the sentiment and I can go straight to it. So that’s my tip of the day.
My Welsh sentiments aren’t part of any sets so I arrange them slightly differently. They’re all photo-polymer so they stick to the outside of a cello bag with a piece of paper inside with the stamped image:
Dyna ni! Hwyl Fawr!
Oooh, I do like your sentiment organisation, that pleases me a lot – it must save you so much time searching for stuff! The little flowers card is lovely too, not too fussy!

Hi Camilla, I do stamp many of my older sentiments out like this, but I keep the newer sets together, and just add the cover sheet in a page protector next to them, so I can just flip through. I also have all my stamps sorted into folders on my pc, so that gives me some help too. Love the cards, so bright and cheery. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #6 X
I have boxes of sentiments but just rummage! it would take me too long to find the list to then look for the stamp! Great card. Helen #2
That is such a clever idea I am always have to hunt for any sentiment i want,

It’s always good to have a collection of sentiment stamps and these look very useful. Have a lovely creative week and a happy woyww, Angela x16x
I’d love to be as organised as you with my stamp collections Camilla I do stamp out my favourite and go to sentiments but that is just for a quick reference for me. Pretty card along with it’s sentiment. Happy WoywW Tracey #7
Clever way to organise your sentiments Camilla. I order my stamps by theme or designer rather than alphabetically. Happy belated WOYWW. Sarah #3
First, sorry I’m late. Second…you never assumed anything so wrongly in terms of my erm, order of storage! I don’t catalogue them, but to be fair, I don’t have many SU! Sets. All my wood mounts sit on shelves, loosely categorised. Text, flora, etc. As good as it gets for me! I can understand the need to keep the Welsh stamps so organised, as individual pieces they are easy to lose without packaging. And the punch before you stamp thing – we’ve all done it. Bet you wont do it again though!
