World Card Making Day

The online virtual event for World Card Making Day (Oct 7th) was great! My attempt at the first card they made was rubbish. I managed to get ink on my hands which then spread everywhere, I stuck all the elements down on the wonk, and I wasn’t paying attention sticking the banner down so it ended up flat instead of 3-dimensional! I didn’t even bother putting any bling on it. I didn’t make the 2nd card as I didn’t like the stamp set, so hadn’t bought it. I finished off some other cards that I’d started previously while they did that one. The last one was better, but I wouldn’t necessarily do it the same again. Pic below.

Really excited this week, though, to discover not one, but two, new Christmas kits from SU. One is a cardmaking kit and the other is an advent calendar. This means there are now 7 Christmas kits available to make cards, gift tags, and the advent calendar. Plus, from November, there will be more online specials available. SU are also offering free P&P from 9-11 October. They do this occasionally, but generally only for 1 day, not 3. I shall definitely be ordering the new Christmas kits and a couple of the new online items, as I can get them this month, being as I’m an SU Demo. They’re also doing a special joining offer. It’s their 35th anniversary this month so anyone that wants to take advantage of joining SU can either Get £130 worth of product for 35% off the regular price of £99 (£64.35), or get an extra 35% of product (£175.50 worth of product for £99). PLUS anyone joining this month is automatically registered for FREE to the virtual OnStage event on 11th November (worth £72). I’m quite jealous about this as I’m not sure I can afford to register for this myself! More information via my online store (link at the top of the main page of this website).
