S’mae, pawb! Today I’m hunkered away in my craft room. The builders are in the loft strengthening the joists and clearing any remaining rubble, so I’m just keeping out of their way. I would normally have been at Tea & Toast this morning but, for various reasons, we’ve had to cancel it today. So, I’ve been making some cards to sell on my stall at church at the end of the month:
These are some non-personalised Scrabble cards. Normally I put the person’s name after the ‘don’t worry’. If anyone wants a personalised one I can do that at home. I need to make some more Welsh letters using blanks, as sixty is chwedeg in Welsh and the ‘CH’ counts as 1 letter. And seventy is ‘saithdeg’ with the ‘TH’ being 1 letter. I use my Cricut machine to do the letters and add the number in very fine black permanent marker. I have a proper Welsh Scrabble set so know the right numbers to put on.
I’ve also had a go at cards for folk who’ve passed their driving test. Not sure if it works, but I’ll give it a go. It’s basically an L-plate (or in Wales, a D-plate) cut or torn in half. I’ve done two in each language; one cut, and one torn. We’ll see how they go
I’ve also finished off the special birthday cards for folk at church. I’ve covered up any names:
They’re all ready to stick on the front of the actual cards when they’ve all been signed. I just need to make a card for a little boy around the corner and a few more ‘new baby’ cards and I’m done (for now). That’s me for this week. Hwyl am y tro!
Very clever cards! I’ll have to remember this when my SIL turns 40 next year! Welsh is a very complicated language, good for you for figuring that all out!. It’s a lovely sunny day here in Ontario Canada, hope you are enjoying some nice Spring weather too! Have a great week, Lindart #20
Clever theme for the cards, well done. I hope you didn’t get swept away in the bad weather that was forecast today.. happy woyww Helen #1
I hope your cards sell well. They are very originally. Happy WOYWW. Angela #15
Great cards, the scrabble tiles idea is so clever! And it’s nice to see some Welsh on the desks too, they’re bound to sell!

Gosh Camilla, you’re being prolific! Great cards. I totally don’t blame you for staying away from the attic access and the doings, it just makes me sigh when I see dust and grit flying about!
OMG that is such a cute card idea! I def. need to keep it in mind for my Dad this birthday. He will really laugh when he sees it I’m sure. So many of them too. I love WOYWW visits so much, but dang it makes my Gotta-Do-That list so very long…
Happy WOYWW
