WOYWW #607

Well, it’s a bit grim here in Llandudno this morning, but looking around everyone’s blogs will certainly cheer me up.

I’ve been doing a bit of crafting this week with some of my new SU stash. The first pic is some cards I made on Saturday. I made enough to hand out to those folk that were at church on Sunday. I bagged them up and put in a little piece of paper saying, “Please take this card and send it to someone you’re missing.” I made 4 of each colour. They were very well received.

Yesterday I made some Thank You cards based on a card made by one of my SU upline. I’ve done some in Welsh.

Lastly, I’ve had to make a condolence card for my friend, Helen, and her husband, Dewi. Their daughter died on Sunday. She was an amazing woman. She was blind but lived independently in Cardiff. She’d seen off 3 different types of cancer in her lifetime, but was always cheerful.

Well, I’d better get this uploaded as I need to be at church for noon for the annual pest control visit. It might not be terribly exciting, but it gets me out of the house! Hwyl am y tro!

  3. Hi Camilla. A great idea for those lovely cards. Glad folks appreciated them last Sunday. Your card for Helen and Dewi is lovely. So sad that you have needed it. How old was their daughter? Hope the pest control goes well… the building hasn’t exactly seen much use in the past 10 months, has it.
Take care you and that hubby of yours.
    God bless.

  5. Those cards are so pretty and what a lovely thought to give them to people for that reason! The sympathy card is also lovely, it’s a hard balance to strike sometimes but I think you got that right. The couple who lost their daughter will appreciate your thoughts, such hard times for so many people recently.

  10. Oh how sad for your friends, what a battler their daughter was. Nice of you to hand out the cards, particularly love the cheery green coloured one! Had to laugh at the Pest Control visit…..things we wouldn’t normally even bother to mention have become news these days!

  11. Beautiful cards ~ What a sweet idea to hand them out for others to mail. I’m sorry for your loss it sounds like she had quite the battle and stayed strong which is amazing.
Enjoy the rest of the week! Love, Karen #33

  12. Lovely card, so sorry to hear about your friend’s daughter. In answer to your question, I do have a pair of prescription goggles but don’t swim with my head in the water at these temperatures so stick to my spare glasses for swimming instead as they are more comfortable for wearing with a wooly hat! Happy belated WOYWW. Take care and stay safe. With love & God Bless, Caro xxx (#8)

  15. Lovely cards. I like to look at SU catalogues for ideas, they always have such great cards! So sorry about your friend’s daughter. No one should see their children die. The card is beautiful, though.

  16. Hi Camilla, I’m here again as I can’t find the comments on your WOYWW 610. With the pictures of your loo! I was going to say we have a large framed rope display picture thingy in our hall, but there’s no boat on ours! I’ll try and have another go at commenting later but this page was the only one with a comment box. Stay safe, Keep on crafting! Happy WOYWW 610!? ((Lyn)) #26!
