Blwyddyn Newydd Dda! Croeso 2021.

Well, I haven’t written anything since August!! I managed to open my little B&B for a few weeks before everything shut down again. Hopefully, I’ll be able to open again come Easter.

Here in North Wales we had a local lockdown for 3 weeks when we couldn’t leave our own county of Conwy, immediately followed by the Welsh Firebreak lockdown. We had a couple of weeks when we could meet up with our friends from Gwynedd and then we had our surprise lockdown when they brought forward the Christmas lockdown to the Sunday before!

Christmas was very quiet for us – the first time ever that it’s just been the two of us. Emma lives in Sheffield, but she and her boyfriend, Damon, were able to visit his mum in Bolton. Michael and his girlfriend, Teresa, stayed in Portsmouth.

In just over a week I’ll be 60, with hubby catching me up 10 days later. In June we’ll be celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary too. We’d planned all sorts of stuff – various parties both in Wales and England – but we’re really hoping we’ll be able to go to Jersey this year. We honeymooned in Jersey and have never been able to afford to go back.

A couple of years ago I did a video showing a desk calendar that I’d designed followed by a second one making a gift bag for it. Hopefully I can put the links in here. (I haven’t worked out how to put them on the website yet)

This is the calendar tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lVT5LHFQwHk

This year, I’m going to try doing more YouTube tutorials in the hope that I’ll get some Stampin’ Up! customers.

This is my workdesk as of Tuesday afternoon after my delivery arrived. I’ve ordered from the new SU Spring mini catalogue and got some Sale-a-Bration freebies, too. Part of it is a customer order, also with some Sale-a-Bration freebies. Hwyl am y tro!

  1. Yep, Wales has rather had a continuous period of lockdown really, so you need a new bunch of stamps and inks to keep you distracted! I think your SU! ambitions are laudable, the gals I know of who make it pay quite well work very hard at it, on Instagram, YYT, FB, almost on a daily basis. Don’t let it take away your love of the hobby! My husband has a big birthday this month too, and I’m just in the throes of cancelling our February holiday which was to celebrate. Ah well, all the better when it does happen!!

  2. I hope you get to celebrate your birthdays and anniversary at some time this year! the pile of SU stash looks huge but if it’s not all yours that’s ok I guess! I thought you’d been gone a long time but August is quite a while – good to see you! Take care and stay safe. Helen #2

  3. Such a lot of disruption to holidays, birthdays, celebrations. We cancelled all holidays apart from one to Anglesey in August – which I am hoping will go ahead, but time will tell. Happy birthday for next week – I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you, that you get a joint 60th/Ruby anniversary trip to Jersey. The Stampin’ Up stuff all looks very colourful – if I ever feel the urge to buy any, I shall let you know. Have a lovely week, Heather xx #14

  4. It certainly is a difficult time for everyone. We should be away at this very moment skiing in France but no chance of that. I feel so sorry for people who are dependent on people like us visiting. I have bought some Stampin’ Up stamps in the past and really like them not had a catalogue though for some time. Take care and have a happy woyww, Angela x19x

  5. Enjoy your new supplies! Enjoy your birthday celebrations, and I hope the vaccine helps our world recover by Spring! Love, Karen#32

  6. Love the new stash Camilla. It is good to see you back. Keeping everything crossed that vaccinations will be speedy and prolific and that some sort of normality will return in time for the summer. Happy birthday in advance! Happy New Year, stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #3

  7. Hope you get lots of SU customers, my local lady didn’t deliver my order in October and I haven’t heard from her either. I am being charitable and thinking she may be poorly! You look as if you have a lovely pile of stash there, have fun with it all and have a great week Angela #13

  8. There’s some lovely stamps there. Fingers crossed for reopening the B&B at Easter.

    Happy WOYWW

  9. What a gorgeous selection of new goodies to play with. I really hope you do manage to get back to Jersey at some point this year. Sorry I’m late. Wishing you a happy belated WOYWW. Take care and stay safe. With love & God Bless, Caro xxx (#10)

  10. Your videos are great, Camilla! I love the little desk calendar with its built in notebook, and it’s always nice to have something attractive to wrap it in as a gift. Great stuff. You’ve certainly got some amazing new stash there and you are bound to have a lot of fun with that. I hope your B&B is soon up and running again. Congratulations on your various upcoming celebrations next week, and I hope you manage to get your second honeymoon in Jersey sooner rather than later! Happy 60th!

    Happy belated WOYWW,
    Shoshi x #18
