WOYWW 573

Not much going on this week, I’m afraid. This picture shows my desk after a Zoom meeting with the Agenda under the keyboard, a couple of notebooks, some instructions for making a bag using fat quarters, some stamps, and a camcorder.

The camcorder is what I’ve been using for my videos for Gareth Malone’s Great British Home Chorus. I’ve done 2 of the songs, but decided that I don’t like Duran Duran’s ‘Ordinary World’, so haven’t done that one. The latest one is Keane’s ‘Somewhere Only We Know’, which I absolutely love.

On Saturday I had to take hubby to A&E. Now that the recycling centres have re-opened I booked a slot to take some garden waste and our old toilet that was replaced just before lockdown. They’re only letting 1 person in and you have to be able to carry everything yourself. I can’t even lift the toilet, let alone carry it, so Kevin thought he’d help by smashing it up so it can go in a large Ikea bag. Unfortunately, ceramics are really sharp when they break and he now sports a comedy bandage on his right hand!

I’m taking a break from sewing scrubs but have made cards to go with scrubs when they’re delivered. That’s it for this week. Hwyl fawr!

  1. Oh dear, poor hubby….I hope his pride isn’t too wounded by cutting his hand on a toilet! Your desk looks super busy, hope all is well up in Llandudno.

  2. I do hope that hubby’s hand is better soon Camilla. Well done for actually recording some of the Great British choir stuff. I started off full of enthusiasm but must admit that I haven’t bothered since the first week (not enough time). Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #7

  3. Hi Cam. Trust K is doing well. It was good to have a catch up yesterday. Great you are still doing the choir – well done you. Hope the Zoom meeting hasn’t produced too much hard work. Must remember to sign the book if I hapoen to go into the building!! 🙂
Take care all of you. Stay safe. God bless.

  4. Poor hubby, I do hope that injury doesn’t cause a problem but bet he’s not the only one that’s had an accident ‘doing it yourself” it’s safer going to work I think. There are lots of places where they say only one person at a time but it’s not always realistic to do it. Wishing you a lovely creative week and a happy woyww, Angela x19x

  5. Oh no! Poor hubby – I hope he makes a swift recovery. Sorry for running late this week, stay safe. with love & God Bless, Caro xx (#4)

  6. Sorry to hear about your hubby’s hand, Camilla. Hope it’s getting better now. It’s a bit unreasonable letting only one person in at a time and having to carry everything yourself – surely they must realise you can’t social-distance from your hubby! They should let family members come in in pairs so they can help carry stuff, it seems to me. Some of the rules do seem a bit stupid. Well done, participating in the online choir. I saw an amazing choral evensong on YouTube the other day, with everyone singing from their own homes! Technology is brilliant, and I don’t know what we’d have done without the Internet during the lockdown. It’s amazing how inventive and creative people have been with it, and how much it has encouraged a spirit of community, which I hope will continue after the lockdown is over.

    Happy belated WOYWW,
    Shoshi #22
