WOYWW 563

Well, what happened to last week? I must have blinked! We had our 2nd session of Tea & Toast (and a listening ear) last Wednesday and had 7 people come in off the street, which was great. Unfortunately, due to the current ‘human malware’ situation, we’ve taken the decision to close the church to all gatherings for the foreseeable future. So I had to dash off and put up a sign on the front door.

Anyhoo, here’s a pic of my SU stash that arrived last week:

SU goodies.

The balloons punch goes with my Balloon Celebration stamps that I’ve had for ages and kept forgetting to order the punch. The Perennial Birthday stamps are something I’ve been um-ing and aah-ing about for a couple of years. Peaceful Moments has some nice sentiments, and the Rise & Shine set co-ordinates with the Cup of Christmas stamps and dies and cost me absolutely nothing! They were part of the Sale-a-Bration freebies. I’ve already used the balloon punch to make a child’s card.

Other than that, I haven’t actually had much time for crafting this week. I did make a card for our friends’ wedding in a couple of weeks (forgot to take a piccie). I shall have to post it, along with their pressie, as they’ve had to cancel the wedding reception because the venue, near Brighton, has closed down for the duration. But they’re planning on moving up here to North Wales this year so we’ll see them fairly shortly anyway.

Ian & Ali’s pressie.

This is what I’ve made them. I also do these for birthdays so the middle section will have 10 names of famous people with the same name. You won’t believe how difficult it can be sometimes to find enough interesting information. July and August are the worst months – nothing ever happens! And finding famous people with the same name can be ‘interesting’. I have relatives called Lyra, Daisie, Jayden, Phoebe, Cleo, and Sasha to name a few – they’re NEVER getting one!

I hope you all keep well. Hwyl fawr!

  1. Hi Camilla, I can imagine finding ‘famous’ names can be difficult when families have unusual names. It’s a lovely gift idea, I’m sure it will be treasured. Stay safe, and have a good week, Hugs, Shaz #6 X

  2. That’s some useful new stash there and I’m sure your friends will love their personalised prezzy – shame about their wedding though, poor folk.

  3. I love that! I saved the newspapers the day each of my boys was born. I think it’s so cool to see what was happing when you enter the world. Love seeing all those stamps and especially love the dies.
    Stay well!

  4. Hi Cam. Was good to natter this morning! Thanks. Love the present – but yes, I can imagine there may be a few gaps in your present giving with some of those names… it’s just going to have to be the ubiquitous mug… or a set of six as it would be a wedding present:-)
Take care lass. Stay safe. God bless.

  5. Liking the mug set of stamps, especially if they go with something you already have, that makes them a good buy! I have a very similar round ‘twice wreath’ type die from SU and I must say I see it a lot and often, hope you will too. It all goes to value! I can see why the propensity for unusual and downright strange names may well scupper you for a present in some cases, such a nice idea.

  6. Hi Camilla, that’s a lovely gift idea – I chuckled at the unusual names in your family – yes, that would be difficult putting one together for those relatives. I only have a handful, well actually 2 or 3 SU products in my craft stash, but I do have that balloon punch – but not the stamp. I’ll keep an eye out for the stamp, as I love putting balloons in children’s cards, and I think they would look more interesting than just a balloon shape! Stay safe, and have a lovely week Heather xx #13

  7. What a clever gift idea! It is so sad that church is closed but I hope all stay safe in your community. Take care my friend. Happy belated WOYWW. With love & God Bless, Caro x (#14)

  8. So sad to hear of so many valuable meeting places closing down, lets hope when times become easier they all reopen and thrive better than ever. Fabulous Wedding present, so unique and personal. Wishing you well & a happy woyww Tracey #10
